2 Public Prosecutors
Public Prosecutor's Office / 80-100% / Chur or Thusis
With its 71 employees, the Public Prosecutor's Office is an independent body both functionally and materially within the criminal justice administration. It conducts criminal investigations against adults and minors in cases of crimes, offenses, and violations and must enforce the state's punitive claims. The main office of the Public Prosecutor's Office is located in Chur. It has branch offices in Davos, Ilanz, Roveredo, Samedan, and Thusis.
For the Public Prosecutor's Office, we are looking for two public prosecutors for August 1, 2026, November 1, 2026, or a date to be agreed upon.
- Independent management of criminal investigations in cases of crimes, offenses, and violations
- Issuance of indictments, subsequent decisions, and dismissal orders
- Representation of the prosecution in court
- Processing requests for national and international legal assistance
- On-call duty
- Completed law studies, preferably with a certificate of qualification as a lawyer and professional experience in criminal prosecution
- Autonomous decision-making and assumption of responsibility
- A personality capable of teamwork, discreet and collegial, with high flexibility and ability to handle large workloads, working independently, reliably, and quickly
- Clean criminal record
- Excellent command of the German language, both spoken and written
- Good knowledge of several cantonal languages (preferably Italian) is an advantage
- Familiarity with common IT tools
- Other language skills
