Job Description
We are looking for a friendly and professional sales assistant to strengthen our team at our branch in Lachen, Switzerland. This is a part-time position with a workload of 60–80%, ideal for someone passionate about providing exceptional customer service and increasing sales in a dynamic retail environment. As a sales associate, you are the face of our company and ensure unforgettable shopping experiences, always committed to customer satisfaction and sales excellence. - Greet customers warmly and offer them personalised advice to meet their shopping needs - Demonstrate product knowledge and provide customers with well-founded recommendations
- Process transactions accurately using point of sale (POS) systems and handle cash responsibly - Maintain a tidy appearance of the branch by organising goods, restocking shelves, and implementing visual merchandising standards - Build positive customer relationships and respond to enquiries or concerns with empathy and professionalism - Achieve individual and team sales targets through effective sales techniques and customer retention
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth business operations and support colleagues as needed - Participate in inventory management activities, including stocktaking and cycle counts - Follow company policies and procedures while ensuring a safe and clean shopping environment - Contribute to a positive team culture by assisting with the onboarding of new team members when required
Qualifications
- Proven experience in retail or customer-focused sales - Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build good relationships with diverse customers - Confident use of POS systems and cash handling procedures - Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise multiple tasks - Customer-oriented mindset and commitment to delivering excellent service
- Ability to quickly acquire product knowledge and effectively communicate benefits - Reliable, professional demeanour with a positive attitude - Flexibility to work fixed shifts, including possible weekend duties
- Advantageous: Previous experience in retail or a similar sales role - Advantageous: Multilingualism (German, French or Italian) to serve our diverse customer base - Advantageous: Experience in inventory management or visual merchandising
