We are looking for you as a Project Engineer: Vehicle and Production Technology (m/f/d) for DB Regio AG at the Freiburg im Breisgau location as soon as possible.

Your tasks:

• Within your role, you are responsible for demanding technical issues in vehicle and maintenance technology and develop viable concepts, solution variants, and implementation strategies from them
• You analyse technical contexts down to the implementation depth, accompany the realisation on site, and ensure that solutions meet technical, normative, legal, and economic requirements
• Furthermore, you structure complex project and decision matters, assess dependencies, risks, and options for action, thereby creating a reliable basis for well-founded decisions
• You prepare service descriptions and technical specifications for commissions, procurements, and technical determinations and transparently document project statuses, evaluations, measures, deviations, and results
• In addition, you communicate project status, risks, goal conflicts, and decision needs clearly, appropriately for the target group, and convincingly to interfaces, stakeholders, and decision-makers
• Moreover, you take on the technical support of the assigned vehicle series in the ECM3 function according to Implementing Regulation (EU) 2019/779

Your profile:

• You have successfully completed a technical or university degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a comparable engineering discipline
• You bring experience in technical project management, preferably in a demanding technical or industrial environment or ideally in the field of rail vehicle technology
• You work analytically, structured, and solution-oriented and keep an overview of technical, organisational, and economic contexts even with high complexity
• Additionally, you have a good understanding of digital applications and ideally bring practical experience with Power Automate, Power BI, or comparable tools for process support
• You use modern AI applications and agents purposefully to make work processes more efficient, prepare information, and effectively support technical and organisational tasks
• With pronounced communication skills, confident coordination ability, and a poised appearance, you bring together different interests, combine assertiveness with diplomatic sensitivity, and win participants for common, viable solutions
