Job Description
In this position, you will take responsibility for project management of small or medium-sized renovations/refurbishments as well as large projects in the area of user fit-outs and infrastructure for research and teaching with high technical requirements, from planning to realisation, through SIA phases 21 – 53.
You will work closely with the team management, portfolio and asset management, finance & controlling, procurement, users and internal specialist departments, as well as with our internal partners such as Engineering & Systems, Facility Services, and Safety, Health and Environment.
In addition, you will manage project teams consisting of internal and external specialists, coordinate various stakeholders such as authorities and users, and ensure compliance with cost, schedule, and quality standards.
Your projects are mostly implemented using single contractor models or general planners, but you also profitably contribute alternative approaches such as design-build in a dialogue process with a total contractor.
To support your projects, you sometimes collaborate with external client representatives. Overall responsibility for the projects always remains with you. You understand how to delegate tasks and competencies purposefully and empower external partners.
We are looking for a committed individual who enjoys accompanying complex construction projects in an innovative environment.
Profile
- Technical education: You have a university degree in architecture, civil engineering, or a similar field and possess proven expertise in project management and/or construction management.
- Project experience: Thanks to your several years of experience as a project manager for renovations, complex construction projects, and large-scale refurbishments, you are familiar with coordinating specialist teams in all SIA phases. You enjoy interdisciplinary tasks.
- Variety of models: You are familiar with conventional execution models (e.g., general planner or single contractor models), are open to new integrated approaches, and ideally have initial experience in accompanying construction projects with BIM.
- Sense of responsibility and negotiation skills: You are resilient, have a quick grasp, willingly take on socio-cultural and ecological responsibility, and think entrepreneurially.
- Strong communication: You quickly build constructive relationships, create trust, and shape your collaboration effectively and purposefully.
Look forward to a varied role with creative freedom and responsibility in a dynamic, research-oriented environment. You will work on technically demanding and unusual construction projects, embedded in a collegial and ambitious team. Our collaboration is based on the mindset:
