To strengthen our management team at the Birmensdorf / ZH location, we are looking for a Regional Manager Transport East for the Zurich region from 01.01.2027 or by arrangement.
The Mittelland Transport AG is a supra-regional logistics company transporting sand, gravel, concrete, surfacing and excavation material in the Mittelland and surrounding areas. Our customers and partners are the companies of the JURA Materials Group.

Regional Manager Transport East (m/f/d | 100%) in Birmensdorf ZH
Your tasks
- Overall responsibility for the operational transport business including safety, quality and performance
- Leadership and assurance of the dispatch in the tipper and concrete department
- Planning, control and optimisation of personnel and vehicle resources taking operational requirements into account
- Preparation of offers and representation of transport interests regarding pricing
- Active maintenance of existing customer relationships as well as targeted acquisition of customers for business development
- Responsibility for budget, sales as well as continuous analysis and optimisation of economic key figures
- Close cooperation between sales + production + transport as well as fleet management
- Planning and coordination of maintenance work (MFK) as well as participation in fleet procurement/development
- Consistent compliance with all legal requirements as well as safety, quality and environmental standards
We expect from you
- Completed training as a certified transport & logistics operations manager HFP ideally complemented by business management training or comparable qualification
- Several years of leadership experience in the transport sector (truck) combined with operational activity and team development
- Sound understanding of dispatch, transport processes, cost structures as well as construction industry contexts
- Experience in dealing with customers, offer management and price negotiations with confident demeanour
- Good IT user skills especially in dispatch and transport systems as well as experience with digital working tools
- High personal responsibility, assertiveness and resilience in a dynamic and performance-oriented working environment
- Strong communication skills as well as the ability to involve different stakeholders in a targeted and solution-oriented manner
- Entrepreneurial thinking, decisiveness and consistent focus on results and sustainable goal achievement
- Exemplary behaviour regarding occupational safety, quality and corporate culture as well as actively promoting these values within the team
- Category C driving licence advantageous; flawless oral and written German skills and English skills (first level) are required
