Polymechanic – Vocational Trainer
Activities
- Responsibility for mechanical vocational training (Polymechanic/Production Mechanic EFZ), demand planning, determination of training quotas, and recruitment of apprentices
- Ensuring modern and high-quality training including further development of training plans, methods, and training materials.
- Assuming the role of technical supervisor in the qualification process (including support of the IPA), if operationally necessary.
- Planning and coordinating productive work in the training workshop in close cooperation with mechanical production and prototype construction.
- Professional and personal leadership, promotion, and development of apprentices.
- Responsibility for the training workshop facilities as well as their optimal use and continuous development.
- Conducting training modules for related professions to promote interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Leading and coordinating apprentice projects, including interdisciplinary ones.
- Central contact point for vocational training towards authorities, offices, schools, parents, and internal interfaces.
Requirements
- Training as a polymechanic with several years of experience in an industrial environment
- Experience as a vocational trainer or training workshop manager
- Very good knowledge of CNC programming (preferably Heidenhain iTNC 530/620).
- Solid experience in the CAM area (preferably CAM-Esprit), as well as application experience in CAD and ERP systems.
- Enjoy working with young people and have a good sense of their development as well as clear, appreciative communication skills. Structured and independent working style with willingness to actively shape technical vocational training.
