To support the increase in our production of electric buses, we are looking for a strong and motivated leader for the Bus Assembly as Head of Assembly Line. As Head of Assembly Line, you take responsibility for a production line in bus assembly and lead interdisciplinary teams from the shell construction to commissioning. With your organisational talent and leadership skills, you coordinate the processes along the line, ensure adherence to cycle times and always keep quality and deadlines under control. You ensure that our buses can be handed over to customers on time and in impeccable quality.

Your tasks

• Overall responsibility for the production line regarding output, quality and cycle time
• Monitoring and coordination of production groups in line production and consistent handling of open issues in the production chain
• Leadership and development of employees in the line
• Resource and deployment planning including absence and holiday coordination
• Ensuring timely production processes by adhering to cycle times
• Ensuring compliance with quality, safety and process standards
• Monitoring and controlling line key figures (hours, quality etc.)
• Coordination with various interfaces (planning, logistics, mechanics, electrical, diagnostics, quality)
• Responsibility for lean management methods at line level including 5S, continuous improvement process and process optimisations
• Conducting and participating in quality assessments as well as documentation of quality requirements
• Initiating and leading improvement projects
• Escalation management in case of technical or procedural deviations
• Conducting and supporting customer acceptance tests

Our requirements

• Completed technical basic training
• Professional further training
• Several years of leadership experience in industry
• Knowledge of lean methods, process management and quality assurance
• Assertiveness, strong communication skills and organisational talent
