Night Owl Program at Walter Zoo from April to October
Guided evening tour and overnight stay in the tipi tent: Visitors experience crepuscular and nocturnal animals and gain exciting insights into animal behavior, species protection, and daily zoo life in a special atmosphere outside of zoo opening hours. Info: walterzoo.ch/nachtschwaermer
We are looking for responsible, communicative people to support a safe and pleasant running of the Night Owl program.
Your tasks
• Co-responsibility for the smooth running of the Night Owl program in cooperation with the program management
• Supervision and accompaniment of school classes and groups
• Ensuring order and cleanliness in and around the two tipis
• Lighting, monitoring, and safely supervising the campfire in the tipi
• Provision and supervision of the evening meal
• Preparation, provision, and supervision of breakfast
• Working hours from 5:00 p.m. to approx. 8:00 a.m. the following day
What you bring
• Enjoyment in working with children and high social competence
• Confident and friendly demeanor
• Experience in the educational field, scouting, youth groups, Cevi, etc. are an advantage
• Openness to new things and enjoyment of varied activities
• Physical resilience and willingness to work at night and outdoors in all weather conditions
• Willingness to work on holidays and weekends
• Reliability, teamwork, and time flexibility
