Event Manager 70–80% (Working Days Tue-Fri)
For the event management department, we are looking for a professional and committed individual to start immediately or by arrangement.
Your area of responsibility
You organise a variety of university events in person, online and as streaming formats. You take responsibility for your own events and work closely with various university departments. A particular focus is on conference organisation.
- Independent organisation and administration of conferences
- Planning, coordination, implementation and evaluation of other university events such as specialist events, vernissages, networking meetings, internal university events, inaugural and farewell lectures as well as orientation days
- Coordination of speakers, staff, external partners and service providers
- Coordination of organisational processes with the content-responsible specialists
- Planning and implementation of virtual events in Zoom
- Taking over substitutions in case of short-term changes or absences as well as holidays
- Participation in the further development and documentation of processes and systems
Your profile
- Completed commercial basic training, hotel management school or comparable education as well as further training in event management, preferably a CAS
- At least five years of professional experience in the organisation and implementation of events, ideally in the education sector, university environment or a comparably complex organisation
- Regular evening events, around five Saturday shifts per year as well as occasional shifts during school holidays are a fixed part of the role
- Strong organisational talent as well as an independent, structured and careful way of working with a high awareness of quality
- Confident appearance as well as high temporal and organisational flexibility with the ability to act quickly and solution-oriented even in a dynamic environment
- High digital affinity, very good knowledge of Microsoft 365 and a quick grasp of learning new software programmes
- Fluent German skills in spoken and written form
- Knowledge of Zoom, especially as a host, is an advantage
