What you will do with us
- Holistic and appreciative care, support and accompaniment of elderly people with psychiatric illnesses, mainly dementia and delirium, in a three-shift operation
- Nursing key worker role and creation of sustainable therapeutic relationships taking into account individual life stories and resources
- Close cooperation with relatives and professionals from various occupational groups
- Co-responsibility for the accompaniment, support and promotion of students and trainees as well as diploma registered nurses in training in professional practice
- Active accompaniment and support of learners and students in developing their professional and practical skills in everyday work
What you bring with you
- Diploma registered nurse HF/FH, DN II or AKP (with foreign diploma recognised by the SRK)
- Vocational pedagogical further training of at least 150 learning hours or willingness to complete this further training
- Ideally experience in old age psychiatry, geriatrics or long-term care
- Openness to new developments and enjoyment of a lively environment
- Team-oriented and empathetic personality

About Solothurner Spitäler AG
The Psychiatric Services (PD) with around 450 employees are responsible for extended basic psychiatric care throughout the canton. In addition to the emergency and crisis centres, a comprehensive assessment, therapy and counselling service is provided by the Clinics for Psychiatry, Psychotherapy and Psychosomatics (KPPP) and by Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (KJP). Treatment is tailored to the individual needs of patients and is provided on an outpatient, day clinic or inpatient basis. The PD also cover forensic psychiatry in the canton and cooperate in teaching and research with the Universities of Bern and Basel.
