From 1 December 2026 or by arrangement we are looking for an employee* in Animal Park and Animal-Assisted Interventions 60% - 80% (m/f/d).
The most important points at a glance
As part of our Park/Animal Park team (7 people, 5.5 full-time positions) you will take care of the care and supervision of all animals in our animal park – from alpacas, chickens and pygmy goats to emus, wallabies and tortoises to pigs, rabbits and sheep. In addition to animal care, you accompany patients in individual or group settings in the sense of animal-assisted interventions, which take place up to twice daily.
Our beautiful and certified outdoor facility is a place of encounter and retreat for our patients and employees and is also well visited by the local population. An exciting mix of tasks in a diverse environment awaits you, which challenges you in respectful interaction with people and animals and at the same time offers you plenty of space for your own development.
This is what your working day with us looks like
- For the most part, you look after our animals and ensure their well-being and health by ensuring their species-appropriate husbandry
- You carry out the tasks arising in animal care independently – within the framework of the specifications of our specialist animal care supervisors. You actively contribute your own suggestions and expertise and help shape animal care.
- In addition, you conduct regular animal training sessions and contribute ideas and suggestions for improvement to further develop the animal park.
- You independently and reliably conduct animal-assisted interventions (up to a maximum of two hours per day) and support the therapeutic objectives according to case management
- You work in the interprofessional treatment team.
What you bring with you
You have a Swiss Federal Certificate of Competence in animal care or several years of professional experience in the care of various animal species. Training in animal-assisted intervention (AAI) or interest in completing such training rounds off your profile. You enjoy animal care and interaction with people.
