The Clinic for Geriatric Psychiatry is an SIWF-recognised training centre for psychiatry and psychotherapy and has full training accreditation for the specialisations of geriatric psychiatry and psychotherapy (A2 inpatient and outpatient) and consultative and liaison psychiatry (A2). We are a successful training centre of the BZ Nursing.
For our openly managed geriatric psychiatric ward in dual leadership with the senior physician, we are seeking from 1 August 2026 or by arrangement a committed, professionally competent, and strong leadership personality to take over the nursing management.

Your tasks
In this responsible role, you will jointly shape and live a person-centred, appreciative, and professional treatment of experienced individuals in psychiatric crisis situations together with the interprofessional team.
- Nursing, organisational, and personnel management of the ward in dual leadership with the senior physician
- Ensuring high-quality, person-centred nursing care (primary nursing concept)
- Leadership, promotion, and further development of the ward team
- Responsibility for implementing treatment concepts, nursing standards, and quality requirements
- Implementation and promotion of interprofessional collaboration
- Initiation and support of development and change processes
- Responsibility for resource and budget planning in the nursing area
- Promotion of a structured, activating, and safe ward environment
Your profile
- Qualified nursing professional HF/FH
- Several years of professional experience in psychiatry, ideally in geriatric psychiatry
- Further training in leadership/management (e.g. ward management, leadership) advantageous or willingness to undertake
- Experience in personnel management, team coordination, and conflict management
- Organisational skills, decisiveness, and strong communication abilities
- Empathetic, reflective, and appreciative attitude in dealing with experienced individuals and their relatives
- Ability to create a motivating, supportive working climate for an interprofessional team
- Openness to innovation and further development of nursing practice
- Sensitivity to ethical issues (avoidance of coercion)
