Chemical Laboratory Technician (m/f/d)

Amcor Flexibles Rorschach AG is a company of Amcor Limited, one of the world’s largest suppliers of responsible packaging solutions. With around 300 employees, we refine aluminium foils and other materials into recyclable packaging materials.

We are looking for an experienced and committed caretaker for the maintenance and care of our infrastructure, starting immediately or by arrangement.

What to expect with us

• You will carry out chemical and physical tests using various analytical methods and ensure the testing of our products according to laboratory specifications
• You will record and document the results of your analyses and independently prepare the associated laboratory reports
• You will monitor and calibrate the testing equipment used and create as well as maintain the corresponding testing regulations
• You will independently conduct incoming goods inspections of delivered raw materials and ensure their quality
• Maintenance and functional checks of our laboratory analysis devices as well as the production of customer samples are also part of your varied responsibilities

What you bring

• You have completed training as a laboratory technician EFZ specialising in chemistry or have a comparable qualification with relevant professional experience
• You enjoy and have experience working with various analytical methods and ideally have knowledge in instrumental analytics (e.g. infrared spectroscopy, emission spectroscopy, thermal analysis, microscopy)
• Your analytical mindset and high quality standards support you in successfully and reliably performing your tasks in quality assurance
• You are open to looking beyond your own area of responsibility and actively contribute to other activities in our service laboratory
