About the job
Our sawmill in Erlenbach im Simmental is an important hub for processing round timber from the forests of the Canton of Bern. In recent years, large parts of the production facilities have been renewed and brought up to the latest technical standards.
To strengthen our team and with a view to the future succession in team leadership, we are looking for an interested and motivated individual to start immediately or by arrangement as
Employee at Sawmill with Prospect of Team Leadership (80-100%)

This is in view of the planned retirement of our current team leader. We want to build the succession early and carefully, giving you the opportunity to prepare optimally for your future role.

- Monitoring quality, quantity, and deadlines
- Relief function on various machines within your own area
- Organisation of tool changes as well as repair and maintenance work
- Participation in repair and maintenance work
- Compliance with administrative requirements as well as safety and fire protection regulations
- Gradual assumption of additional responsibility with a view to future team leadership
How you can impress us
- You have completed vocational training as a sawyer, wood industry specialist, forest ranger, or a comparable basic education in the wood industry
- You enjoy working with machines and have a strong technical understanding
- You have a quick grasp and an interest in production processes
- You work independently, reliably, and with a high awareness of quality
- You like to take responsibility and want to develop professionally and personally
- You are team-oriented, resilient, and willing to get stuck in
