About the job
Would you like to deepen your psychological skills in child and adolescent psychiatry and take on responsibility from the very beginning? At the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry department of the University Psychiatric Centre (UPZ) Bern, you will find diverse opportunities in outpatient, day clinic, inpatient or outreach settings and a wide range of psychiatric disorders and age groups. Under close supervision, you will take on your own diagnostic and therapeutic tasks and be supported by an experienced interprofessional team. Our versatile internal training programme offers you additional opportunities to specifically expand your professional skills. After the first year as an assistant, various opportunities for professional development are available within the clinic. There is also the possibility to complete psychotherapy training at the Institute for Psychotherapy in Childhood and Adolescence (IPKJ) . Your tasks
- You conduct clinical and test psychological diagnostics under supervision
- You take on individual, family and group therapies under supervision
- You coordinate treatment in close collaboration with the care team, the in-house school, other therapists and external specialists
- You document the course of treatment in the electronic medical record and write relevant reports for internal and external use
- You ensure smooth coordination between the involved professionals and thus contribute to holistic treatment and care of our patients
Your profile
- You have completed a university degree in psychology and have already started or will soon start psychotherapy training recognised by the Federal Office of Public Health (BAG)
- You are interested in working with children and adolescents and want to further develop your psychotherapeutic and diagnostic skills
- You enjoy working in a university and interprofessional environment
- You bring a high level of commitment and work independently, reliably and in a team-oriented manner
- You have very good German language skills, both spoken and written
