Your work environment and our offer
The Security and Environment department includes the police service, the fire brigade, civil protection, the commercial and fire police, as well as the wastewater treatment plant and the facility service. Our employees – including many long-standing colleagues – carry out their work for the city and its 28,000 inhabitants with great joy and dedication.
The facility service takes care of maintenance work in the public space of the city of Rapperswil-Jona and provides services at various events and occasions.
In this role, you will be deployed for various maintenance tasks on streets, public squares, and facilities. You will perform inspection, cleaning, and maintenance work and assist with the setup and dismantling of festivals and events. Your exciting range of tasks also includes assisting with winter services (including on-call duty). By maintaining and caring for public green spaces, you make a significant contribution to the appearance of the city of Rapperswil-Jona.
What distinguishes you
To fulfill these tasks, you bring a completed education (e.g., specialist in operational maintenance EFZ or a craft apprenticeship) with you. Willingness to work irregular hours is expected. You are reliable, work independently and efficiently. In addition, you hold a category B driving license. Residence in Rapperswil-Jona or a neighboring community is desirable.
