Your role
As a Sales Engineer High Pressure & Gas Applications (m/f/d), you take responsibility for market development and growth of our high-pressure business throughout Switzerland. With your technical expertise and sales strength, you support existing customers, open up new applications and business areas, and accompany demanding customer projects from the initial needs analysis to successful sales completion.
You are responsible for a strategically important growth market and work closely with international business lines, product companies, and local service organisations. In doing so, you support the further development of our market position in future markets such as hydrogen, biogas, CNG, and industrial gases.
You are also responsible for:
- identifying and developing new business opportunities as well as sustainably expanding existing customer relationships
- providing technical advice and support to customers, planners, plant builders, as well as internal sales and service teams
- designing, calculating, and technically reviewing offers, projects, and customised plant solutions
- selling high-pressure compressors and system solutions for air, nitrogen, industrial gases, biogas, CNG, and hydrogen applications
- selling the Atlas Copco portfolio in the high-pressure sector, including new plants, system solutions, spare parts, and services
- actively developing the market and expanding our position in the areas of hydrogen, biogas, energy, and industrial applications
- conducting customer training, product presentations, and sales-promoting activities
- analysing market, competition, and sales data to identify new business potential and further develop the business area
- building and maintaining a strong network of end customers, engineering companies, plant builders, energy suppliers, planning offices, and other market participants
- working closely with service, project management, product specialists, and international business units
- ensuring high customer satisfaction as well as monitoring and further developing relevant business metrics
To be successful, you need
- technical education at HF/FH level or a completed engineering degree, preferably in mechanical engineering, process engineering, energy or plant engineering
- several years of experience in technical sales of complex capital goods, plants or system solutions
- knowledge and practical sales experience in the field of high-pressure gas compression as well as an existing network in the markets of biogas, CNG, hydrogen, industrial gases or energy applications are advantageous
- ideally, you already have a reliable network with end customers, engineering companies, plant builders, energy suppliers or other players in the Swiss gas and energy market
- strong commercial and business understanding as well as confidence in offer calculation and contract negotiation
- negotiation skills, high customer orientation and strong closing ability
- convincing communication skills, professional appearance and enjoyment in building long-term customer relationships
- independent, structured and goal-oriented working style as well as high willingness to travel within Switzerland
- confident handling of MS Office as well as CRM and digital sales tools
- very good German and English skills in spoken and written form; French skills are an advantage but not a requirement

Work location
You work flexibly from your home office and regularly visit customers and projects throughout Switzerland. Your proximity to the market allows you to recognise new business opportunities, build long-term customer relationships and actively contribute to the further growth of our high-pressure business.
