Diaconis operates three business areas: living and care in old age, palliative care, and professional integration. Since our founding in 1844, we have been committed as a non-profit organization to ensuring that people in fragile life situations are cared for, looked after, and supported according to their needs. Our team includes around 300 employees at several locations in the city of Bern, Ostermundigen, and Biel.
Our hospitality department, consisting of service, gastronomy, cleaning, and services, ensures with its experienced staff that residents feel at home with us. We live service and thus make people happy. Our focus is on the residents and patients.
The Diaconis gastronomy prepares about 500 meals daily according to individual needs. A catering service, the public restaurant, and our cafeteria complement the gastronomic offer.
We offer you the opportunity to get a taste of our kitchen during a 3-5 day career choice internship and to get an impression of the training as a cook EFZ.
