Your new role

As Head of ICT, you actively shape the digital future of the St.Gallen Public Transport. You are responsible for a stable, secure and future-proof ICT and consistently position it as a service and solution partner for operations, technology and administration. In this key role, you connect strategy and implementation: you specifically develop ICT further, ensure reliable operations and drive innovations forward. You are responsible for ICT strategy and governance as well as architecture, services and supplier management. You lead a team of 6 employees, continuously develop it and create a high-performance, customer-oriented ICT organisation.

This position is for you if

• you are an initiative-taking, structured and responsible individual who combines strategic thinking with pragmatic implementation.
• you have successfully completed a technical degree at a university (Bachelor or Master) in computer science.
• you possess sound ICT knowledge in the areas of infrastructure, applications and architecture.
• you have experience in ICT security, information security management (ISMS), IT service management (e.g. ITIL) as well as in supplier and contract management.
• you ideally bring leadership experience and enjoy developing employees.
• you have negotiation skills and good communication abilities.

Mobility is our passion. The St.Gallen Public Transport (VBSG) ensures public transport for the city of St.Gallen and its agglomeration with around 320 employees and approximately 85 buses. Every day, we safely transport over 85,000 passengers to their destinations. The Technology department is responsible for the optimal availability and reliability of the vehicles as well as all technology (buildings, stops, passenger information, ticketing systems, overhead lines, cleaning, etc.) and the implementation of challenging and meaningful projects. We make an important contribution to sustainable coexistence and actively promote the further development of public transport.
