About the job
Manager: Digital Channels 80 - 100%Are you looking for a challenge in the field of politics and administration, at the digital pulse of the times, with an employer whose topics are as diverse as life itself?
The Directorate of Justice and Home Affairs (JI) fulfils a variety of tasks, from A for archives to Z for civil status. At our General Secretariat, the threads come together. We support the director, our units, handle cross-cutting issues and accompany and lead programmes and projects.
In January 2027, the revised Administrative Justice Act will come into force, which provides that administrative procedures will also be handled digitally via special electronic channels. With RRB No. 433/2026, an important milestone was reached for the implementation of these electronic channels in the Canton of Zurich: In the VRGo project, the new technical solution "VerfahrenZH" is being developed, which enables the legally compliant handling of administrative procedures.
To accompany the cross-organisational development of this solution on the part of the JI, and to professionally incorporate the requirements of our administrative units into the operation of the solution at the responsible offices, we are looking for a person with a technical background as Manager Digital Channels (80 - 100%) in the General Secretariat from 1 October 2026 or by arrangement.
Your main tasks
- You proactively communicate with the procedural offices of the JI and identify, coordinate and prioritise their requirements for the electronic channels. You incorporate these into projects for their further development and into overarching digitalisation initiatives.
- You know the relevant specialist applications of the JI and support any further developments and integrations in connection with the electronic channels.
- You are networked within the JI, the canton and the federal government with the relevant offices and keep up to date on significant developments.
- You advise and support the administrative units of the JI in the further digitalisation of their administrative procedures. For this purpose, you accompany the implementation of new or further developed functionalities from the user perspective and maintain close contact with the specialist departments, Legal, IT/operations teams and other stakeholders.
Your profile
- Tertiary education (e.g. in business informatics, business administration, law), with experience in the digitalisation of processes, services or communication channels (preferably in administration or the legal field)
- Strong understanding of user needs as well as service-oriented design, strong in coordination and stakeholder management
- Quick comprehension as well as an analytical, structured and conceptual way of working with enthusiasm for designing and further developing digital solutions
- Holistic thinking, excellent communication skills, initiative and high personal responsibility with a proactive work approach
Our offer
- A varied and meaningful activity in a motivated team
- Lived flat hierarchies and flexible home office arrangements
- Exciting insights into the diverse activities of our units
- A workplace directly at the main station
- The position is classified in salary class 20 (information on the salary system).
