Those who care for patients remotely at Medgate receive intensive telemedicine training from the start. The medical guidelines developed for the needs of telemedicine and continuously refined over the years are practice-oriented and designed for remote treatment. The patient management system supports doctors in their treatment using, among other things, artificial intelligence. This means doctors have less administrative work and can focus more specifically on their patients. The medicine of the future is already a reality at Medgate.

What we can offer you

• You will treat patients independently as telemedicine specialists within Medgate Switzerland's 24/7 operation. In most cases, you will communicate with patients by phone or chat, rarely also via video call.
• Our telemedicine guidelines support you in final therapy or triage to physical service providers - we definitively treat 50% of all medical issues.
• The right workload for your current life phase, between 50 and 100%.
• A working week limited to 42 hours (for a 100% workload) which you can define yourself with your work and leisure requests.
• There are no overtime hours with us. If additional work is necessary, colleagues who can organise extra shifts will contact us.
• You will receive at least 5 weeks of paid holiday, in addition to an attractive salary and bonuses.
• You can easily work from home and save unnecessary travel in your already busy family life: It is possible to work from home from Germany and Switzerland. Offices available in Basel/Allschwil (CH) and Chiasso (CH).
• A wide range of internal and external training opportunities (interdisciplinary).
• Telemedicine is a discipline in its own right at Medgate, which is why we train you to become telemedicine specialists at the start of your career at Medgate. All new hires receive intensive induction: that is why Medgate is more a lifelong partner and not a short-term fallback.

Your profile

• You are a doctor: you have a medical degree with a specialisation diploma in general internal medicine or at least 2 years of clinical experience in general medicine.
• You enjoy a modern working environment: we have flat hierarchies and the medical team works in self-organised groups.
• You are computer literate and enthusiastic about technology: for us the computer is not a means to an end, but a colleague that allows us to connect with our patients and simplify the tedious administrative work to the maximum.
• You are skilled in communication and listening: telemedics "see" with their ears and get a clear picture of the patient by asking specific questions. For this, excellent command of Italian and German and/or English is necessary. Excellent knowledge of French is an advantage.
• You enjoy structured and independent work: We have perfected telemedicine over the last 26 years and will be happy to show you how we use a structured approach to achieve the best possible treatment. But you do not have to work through ready-made questionnaires or follow decision trees.
