Your Tasks
- Close collaboration with specialist departments and software engineering teams to develop Java applications from scratch. Use of AI-supported development tools and agent-based engineering practices to accelerate implementation
- Accompanying and leading teams throughout the entire project lifecycle, from initial conception through gathering business requirements and software architecture to implementation
- Advising our clients on the design and further development of their software architectures and technology landscapes, providing recommendations and supporting their implementation. This also includes the responsible use of AI coding tools and Large Language Models (LLMs)
- Supporting the pre-sales area in tenders, proof-of-concept projects, and the design of innovative solutions
- Contributing to company-wide initiatives to further develop our architecture department, sustainably secure our technical excellence, and continuously advance internal standards and governance frameworks for AI tools

Your Profile
- 5-10 years of experience in designing and implementing large Java applications
- Solid practical experience with frameworks such as Spring / Spring Boot, Spring AI / Embabel / LangChain4J, JPA / Hibernate or other ORM technologies as well as build tools like Maven / Gradle
- In-depth knowledge of integration patterns and best practices, for example synchronous vs asynchronous communication, RESTful APIs, messaging and publish-subscribe
- Practical experience with containers and orchestration platforms such as Docker, Kubernetes or OpenShift
- Thorough knowledge of best practices and tools for CI/CD, DevOps and code quality
- Confident use of AI-supported development tools (e.g. Claude Code, GitHub Copilot) as well as the ability to guide teams in their effective and responsible use
- Experience in designing or integrating LLM-based functions in enterprise applications, for example tool usage, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), agentic loops and Model Context Protocol (MCP)
- Fluent German and English skills
