The starting date is scheduled from 1 November 2026.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the five Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, it plays a reference role in the fields of medical care, research, and education.
The Geriatrics and Geriatric Rehabilitation Service relies on a complete and integrated clinical organisation, including acute units, outpatient units, a long-stay unit, as well as a geriatric rehabilitation unit located at the CUTR Sylvana in Epalinges (93 beds).
The service develops a strong academic activity, combining specialised clinical care, postgraduate training, and translational and epidemiological research, notably around the mechanisms of ageing and bone metabolism.
Aligned with the cantonal health policy, the service actively contributes to the development of a culture of geriatric care adapted to the increasing ageing of the population.
Mission
- You lead and supervise the clinical activities of your unit in collaboration with other chief residents and senior physicians
- You develop interprofessional collaboration with nursing, medical-technical, administrative, and logistical teams
- You participate in the teaching and postgraduate training of assistant physicians
- You take part in the service’s research projects, including clinical and translational studies, and contribute to compliance with good clinical practices
- You participate in on-call duties and standby (nights, weekends, and public holidays)
Profile
- You hold an FMH title in geriatrics or internal medicine with training in geriatrics underway or planned, or a title recognised by MEBEKO
- You have at least two years of hospital experience in internal medicine and/or geriatrics
- You show an interest in research and/or teaching
- You have a minimum B2 level in French for non-French speakers (certificate required)
