In this key role, you actively shape the future of SZU's overhead line infrastructure and make a significant contribution to safe and reliable railway operations.
These are your tasks
- You lead the overhead line team both personally and professionally and take on the associated leadership, organisational and administrative tasks. In addition, you support your team as needed in on-call duty and night work.
- You continuously develop the overhead line team, drive digitalisation forward and act as an expert and overhead line system manager for specialist questions within SZU.
- You are responsible for the quality, availability, operational safety and reliability of our overhead line systems as well as the railway power supply.
- In close cooperation with operations planning, train service, specialist departments, asset and project management and external partners, you translate operational requirements into sustainable and economical technical solutions.
- You assess the condition of the system, initiate immediate measures if necessary and ensure the timely rectification and reporting of safety-relevant defects.
- You plan, coordinate and monitor maintenance work on the overhead line systems, analyse the results and derive optimisation measures and the corresponding reporting.
- You support the Head of Infrastructure Specialist Services in budget planning and budget management, contribute to the further development of fault management and bring your expertise to third-party construction projects.
- You take on the execution project management for maintenance measures and single-discipline projects in the overhead line area, are responsible for their acceptance and ensure compliance with all legal, normative and safety-relevant requirements.
These are your key competencies
- You have a completed degree (FH) in electrical engineering or a comparable technical field.
- You bring solid practical experience in railway technology and have proven knowledge in the construction and maintenance of overhead line systems.
- You meet the requirements as an overhead line expert and ideally have the corresponding certification.
- You bring leadership experience in a technical operations organisation or in managing demanding technical projects.
- You convince with strong communication skills, decisiveness and assertiveness and enjoy working with various internal and external stakeholders.
- You have very good German language skills in spoken and written form, good IT user skills and a category B driving licence.
