About the job
Deutsche Bahn is not only one of the most important mobility service providers but also one of the largest engineering firms in Germany. To realise and sustainably maintain new bridges, tunnels, stations, tracks, and signalling systems, more than 10,000 engineers currently work with us – still not enough. As an engineer at Deutsche Bahn, you can plan, manage, or supervise something that lasts: the infrastructure for future generations.
Your tasks:
- As a Construction Operations Coordinator, you are the crucial interface between railway operations and construction measures: you take on the operational assessment and interdisciplinary coordination of our infrastructure measures from planning to implementation
- You participate in the registration of construction measures and check the expected operational impacts of the measures
- You also grant approval for the issuance of operational and construction instructions as well as La entries
- In case of deviations from the operational and construction process, you develop countermeasures and decide on the continuation or qualified termination of the construction measure
- You contribute to ensuring that commissioning can be carried out as planned
- You always keep an eye on the status of the various measures and bring all project participants together by organising coordination rounds and leading meetings
- Your responsibilities also include conducting Betra start-up consultations, site and safety inspections, securing coordination, and securing supervision according to Module 132.0118
Your profile:
- You have a completed technical or university degree in engineering sciences and at least three years of professional experience in a railway infrastructure company, of which at least two years as a supervisor in the maintenance of railway facilities or in railway operations
- Alternatively, you are a particularly qualified district manager for operations/maintenance with at least five years of professional experience in this role
- You have successfully completed training as a Construction Operations Coordinator or are willing to acquire it
- You possess comprehensive knowledge in the field of occupational safety, railway operations, and the process of driving and building (laws, standards, regulations, rules, operating instructions including interdisciplinary provisions)
- Your manner is confident, and you bring appropriate assertiveness as well as flexibility
- Resilience, commitment, and initiative characterise you, as well as your very good organisation and independent, resource-conserving way of working
- You can handle MS Office without difficulty and ideally are familiar with specialised programmes such as PAULA, BBPneo, etc.
- You meet the requirements set for the Construction Operations Coordinator according to RiL 107 (health suitability is checked by an occupational physician during the application process) and hold a category B driving licence
