The Finance Transformation Senior Project Manager will support a multi year journey to fundamentally transform how we run, steer and enable our business. As Senior Project Manager you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering this transformation. You will support complex, cross functional projects that cut across business units, functions and geographies, ensuring that strategy becomes reality and that our people are supported through the change. You will support stakeholders around a shared vision, bring structure and discipline to execution, and create the environment in which teams can succeed.
What you will do
- Support finance transformation workstreams or teams ensuring clear scope, realistic plans, and delivery against agreed outcomes.
- Support the program and workstream delivery roadmap planning working with workstream and functional leaders, aligning initiatives and timelines.
- Enable governance and decision making forums, by ensuring timely, transparent status reporting, risk registers and project artefacts.
- Coordinate cross functional workstreams (business, technology, finance, operations, change management) and manage interdependencies and risks.
- Enable programme financials and benefits tracking, working closely with Finance to define business cases, track spend and measure value delivery.
- Ensure monitoring and control of the project activities in accordance with the Zurich project management frameworks and policies.
- Coordinate improvements in ways of working.
- Support leadership teams with preparation of steering materials, executive updates, and key decision papers.
- Help other colleagues to employ project management disciplines.
What you bring
- Experience in projects or programmes in an international environment, ideally in financial services or a similarly regulated industry.
- Ability to thrive in complex stakeholder environments, working with senior executives and diverse teams across functions and geographies.
- Good organisational skills, including planning, governance, risk and issue management, financial tracking and benefits realisation.
- Strong influencing and relationship building skills, with the ability to navigate ambiguity, build alignment and facilitate conversations.
- Clear and compelling communication skills in English (written and verbal); additional languages are an advantage.
- Relevant academic background, for example in Business, Finance, Economics, Technology, or a related field; professional certifications in project/programme management (e.g. PMP, MSP, SAFe) are an advantage.
- A growth mindset and resilience, comfortable working in a fast moving, evolving environment and balancing multiple priorities.
