Scientific Staff Member Soil Protection
The soils of Zurich are a basis of life and at the same time under pressure from diverse usage demands. In this role, you will strengthen knowledge about pollutants in the Soil Protection Unit, assist in establishing enforcement in the areas of PFAS, children's play areas, and pollutant contamination, and subsequently contribute to its implementation.
Your tasks
- You develop and implement enforcement foundations including data management and maps for chemical soil protection
- You monitor the development of known and new contaminations
- You assess soil-relevant construction projects and advise private individuals and authorities
- You issue requirements to control excavated soil and to prevent hazards from contaminated soils
Your profile
- You have a completed university of applied sciences/university degree with a scientific focus or in a related field
- You have professional experience in the field of chemical soil protection
- You take responsibility and think customer-oriented
- You communicate clearly and can convey complex contexts understandably
- You work in a structured, forward-looking manner and keep an overview even in demanding projects
