Operational Buyer
As an Operational Buyer, you are a central point of contact for the entire operational procurement process. You work on-site with our client and ensure the correct, timely, and economical handling of orders for materials and services, working closely with project teams, suppliers, and internal departments.

Your main tasks
- Responsibility for the compliant handling of the operational procurement process for materials and services
- Checking and forwarding purchase requisitions (Banfen)
- Creating, modifying, and managing orders
- Checking and processing order confirmations
- Creating, checking, and processing operational framework agreements (in SAP and Ariba Contracts)
- Maintaining the Lean Catalog (data and module maintenance for framework contract call-offs)
- Supporting the supplier onboarding process via Ariba SLP
- Assisting with SAP analyses and reporting
- Close collaboration with accounting (reconciling orders vs. invoices)
- Managing the central purchasing email inbox and correspondence with suppliers
- Contact person for departments regarding questions about Banfen, orders, and SAP
- Updating SAP forms and templates (e.g. Ariba Sourcing)
- Contributing to the update of internal SAP training materials and conducting training sessions
Your profile
- Completed commercial apprenticeship or equivalent qualification
- Good understanding of business processes
- Confident SAP knowledge (S/4HANA – preferably in procurement)
- Knowledge of SAP Ariba (SLP, Sourcing, Contracts) is an advantage
- 3+ years of professional experience in operational purchasing / SCM / planning
- High accuracy, reliability, and organisational skills
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Independent and responsible working style
- Very good German skills (native or equivalent); French and/or English are an advantage
