Teacher Manager for Migrants at 80%
SMIG146
- The OIFA's mission is to promote the social and professional integration of people from migrant backgrounds through training, support and insertion measures. The objective is to enable them to achieve the autonomy necessary to participate in economic and social life.
The training component includes a centre for teaching basic skills (French, mathematics and IT). Based in Neuchâtel and La Chaux-de-Fonds, the ESPACE structure has 17 teachers, a course coordinator and an andragogical manager.
As the person responsible for teachers in basic skills and the course coordinator, you lead and supervise a team of 18 employees and report directly to the head of office.
In this capacity, you oversee all related tasks, whether teaching, organisational aspects of the courses or their administrative management.
You handle all tasks related to the operational management of teachers, manage HR aspects (checks, replacement planning, compliance with regulatory framework) and are also responsible for the recruitment and supervision of civilian service workers.
In close collaboration with the staff under your charge, you split your working time between the two teaching sites in Neuchâtel and La Chaux-de-Fonds. You conduct sessions and working groups on various topics to ensure and maintain the quality of services.
Furthermore, you work closely with the head of office, the andragogical manager, professionals working within the structure as well as external partners. You actively contribute to team cohesion, maintaining a positive collective dynamic and the smooth running of the ESPACE structure.
Finally, you represent the OIFA teaching centre in various external meetings and committees.
With a university degree or an equivalent qualification, ideally in adult education or human sciences, you have at least 5 years’ experience in teaching and team management. Continuing education in human resources management is an advantage.
Responsible, committed and possessing excellent interpersonal skills, you understand current educational challenges. Your analytical mind enables you to unite the teaching team, lead working sessions and resolve disputes diplomatically.
This position requires great ease with administrative tasks and personnel management as well as proven skills in andragogy, preferably with an allophone audience.
You value teamwork and demonstrate a keen understanding of migration issues. Organised and comfortable with IT tools, you also have strong writing skills and a real ability to initiate, structure and successfully carry out projects.
