Security Assistants 80 - 100 %
The Heavy Traffic Centre SVZ in Erstfeld controls, manages and directs heavy traffic on the site including the access from the motorway and the cantonal road. It manages the traffic and parking areas and operates the upstream waiting area for the drip counting system.
Due to the retirement of two incumbents, we are looking for committed individuals from 1 April 2027 or by arrangement.

Tasks
- Inspection of heavy goods vehicles, their drivers and their loads
- Reporting of identified facts
- Issuing of fines and bail for fines
- Assistance in traffic management and special events at the SVZ as well as in other operational areas of the Cantonal Police
Expectations
- Completed technical vocational training, ideally related to the automotive trade
- Technical flair in the area of vehicles/technology
- Possession of driving licence category B and ideally C, with knowledge of the Working Hours and Rest Periods Ordinance (ARV)
- Willingness to complete the necessary training
- Team-oriented, proactive and balanced personality
- High resilience and flexibility as well as a structured way of working
- Good manners and a neat appearance, confident communication skills
- Confident expression in spoken and especially written form as well as impeccable German
- Foreign language skills desirable
- Proficient IT skills
- Willingness to work irregular hours (shift work, on-call duty, escorting exceptional transports) and to work outdoors for extended periods
