About the job
Are you passionate about promoting reading and media literacy among children? Do you enjoy conveying library educational content and appreciate cooperative work with schools? Do you love interacting with diverse people and the lively daily routine of a community library?
Due to a retirement, we are looking for a committed, flexible person to join our collegial and motivated teams from 1 March 2027. The working days are Monday to Wednesday, plus one Saturday and one Thursday morning per month.

Your Tasks
- Conducting library educational lessons (biblioheft, BiblioTour, etc.)
- Coordinating and annual planning of library educational offerings for the Hegi and Oberwinterthur community libraries
- Project-oriented development and delivery of library educational programmes across all grade levels
- Advising the public regarding physical and digital media offerings and supporting the use of electronic and library infrastructure
- Actively contributing to creating a welcoming and inclusive library environment
Your Profile
- Completed pedagogical training; library knowledge is an advantage
- Engaging and resilient personality with a strong customer and service orientation, as well as team spirit and initiative
- Very good IT skills, especially in MS Office
- Excellent planning and organisational skills
- Sensitivity to issues of diversity and inclusion
- Willingness to work at weekends
