The Sonnengarten Housing Cooperative (BGS) manages over 1200 apartments and provides a home for more than 3000 people in Zurich and the Limmat Valley. Since 1944, we have been committed to affordable housing and a diverse community life. As a team, we continuously develop ourselves – both collectively and individually.

To complement our team, we are looking immediately or by arrangement for a skilled craftsman colleague with organisational talent. In addition to classic caretaking duties, you will oversee maintenance projects and apply your know-how during apartment changes. You maintain good relations with various stakeholders (tenants, craftsmen, etc.). As the interface to letting and community life, you keep an overview. Your tasks

• General caretaking of our residential properties in Zurich (Triemli, Höngg and Limmat Valley)
• Coordination of companies, craftsmen and suppliers for maintenance projects
• Independent assessment and repair of apartments
• Independent repairs and monitoring of technical systems
• Interface to letting and community life regarding matters related to our properties
• On-call and winter service (one weekend per month)
• Administrative tasks, including checking reports and digital invoices

Your profile

• Completed vocational training in a craft (e.g. plumber, carpenter) or certified maintenance professional EFZ
• 10 or more years of professional experience, at least 5 years in a craft or as a caretaker
• Driving licence category B
• Outgoing, confident communicator, very good German skills
• Team player, socially competent and physically fit
• Independent and quality-oriented working style, both analogue and digital
