Let’s Talk about the Role
Demand Planning
-
Drive forecast generation at SKU level for the whole collection in line with Operations budget in order to achieve targets (excess reduction, shortage reduction, on time service maximization).

Map forecast accuracy by channel, collection, product segmentation and style level, identifying and highlighting risks and opportunities in the demand pool.

Lead and facilitate regular dialogs with Sales Operations, Sales team and DTC to gather commercial trends and required input for the demand plan.

Control demand planning Key Performance Indicators, driving a continuous improvement approach within the brand and planning mitigating actions if needed.

Work closely with Operations team to control inventory generation and liquidation, highlighting any risk/opportunity to the leadership team and proposing corrective actions. Coordinate reorder pool to be aligned with financial expectations, commercial projections and inventory targets.

Open To Buy and actual orders alignment control for DTC channels.

Coordinate Forecasting activities and deadlines with other departments to grant the correct flow of information.

Work closely with Sales/Merchandising/Product Team to maximize collection efficiency and to manage selection, lifecycle management and delivery plan of the product line.

Participate the seasonal consensus meetings with Supply Planning to assure highest forecast accuracy and to reduce risk of blind purchases. Work closely with Supply Planning to calculate and plan SKU buys based on forecast, sales orders, inventory levels, open purchase orders and production constraints (minimums, lead time), to achieve maximum on time deliveries and minimum inventory risk, shortage and surcharge expense.

Analyse shortage and excess inventory to guarantee maximum efficiency

Support Demand Review and Strategy meeting preparation
Footwear Demand & Supply Planning

Coordinate Planning activities and deadlines with other departments and with customer to grand the correct flow of information and to execute Forecasting, Planning and Product Acquisition activities: buy dates and deliveries definition, buy plan to vendors, size range management, system set up and coordination with Pricing/Sales Operations/Customer Ops for direct shipment settings, sales campaign deadlines communication to Sales/DTC

Work closely with Sales/Merchandising Team on Footwear line efficiency and capacity optimization (style count and product flow) to manage risks and opportunities based on forecast trend/variation

Calculate and plan SKU buys based on forecast, sales orders, inventory levels, open purchase orders and production constraints (minimums, lead time), in order to achieve Planning KPI (on-time delivery, shortage, excess, surcharges)

Place SKU buys to the vendors and assure data flow accuracy

Liaise regularly with vendors to follow up on production status.

Buying process management and PO maintenance in SAP and INFOR
Reporting and Analysis

Lead and own qualitative and quantitative analysis to highlight trends, opportunities and performances related both to product and distribution tiering and channels.

Regularly update Forecast evolution file to highlight risks/opportunities.

Seasonal reporting (Forecast accuracy, ABC report).
How You Will Make a Difference

University Degree in industrial engineering, economics, statistics or equivalent.

Fluent English, verbal and written.
-
Few years of experience with Forecasting and Planning activities
-
Excellence in Excel, strong knowledge of Microsoft Office environment.

Passion for working with numbers, analytical mindset.

Ability to work with large volumes of data from multiple sources, manipulating information in a meaningful way and the ability to interpret and challenge complex data.

Good communication skills.

Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining accuracy.

Strong work ethic and efficiency while respecting deadlines.

Team player but also able to work independently.

Proactive approach with a “continuous improvement” mind-set and willing to change the status quo.
