Social Worker in Social Assistance or Child and Adult Protection (at least 60%)
The Olten social region provides services in the field of statutory social work for the city of Olten as well as for the municipalities of Trimbach, Winznau, Wisen and Hauenstein-Ifenthal.

About us:
The Olten social region provides financial assistance and social work support for people who require economic social assistance or when a guardianship is established due to a need for protection. Statutory social work is carried out on the basis of the cantonal social law (social assistance) or on the basis of the Civil Code (guardianships).
The values of social work form the basis for cooperation with clients. The social assistance and child and adult protection departments benefit from administrative, legal and social insurance law support through our internal specialist units.

Tasks
- Statutory social work according to the cantonal social law (social assistance) or management of guardianships according to the Civil Code (child and adult protection)
- Support for people in vulnerable life situations and creation of methodical care planning
- Clarification of financial claims and benefits; calculation and payment of maintenance and other (needs-based) benefits
- Reporting to the responsible authority as well as professional case documentation
- Close cooperation with specialist offices, authorities, insurance companies and other third parties
Expectations
- Tertiary degree in social work or a related discipline / alternatively social insurance specialist with proven professional experience
- Self-organised working style with conscious prioritisation
- Knowledge of the social security system is an advantage
- Strong flair for numbers; high resilience and assertiveness; positive attitude
