Trial Apprenticeship Empa St. Gallen Career Exploration (a)
At Empa, we work at the interface between research and practice with a strong connection to important topics shaping the world – so by choosing an apprenticeship at Empa, you are choosing a profession with a future. At the St. Gallen location, we train apprentices in six different professions, which are presented on our homepage .
Please note that we cannot offer an apprenticeship position for every profession for summer 2027.
Your tasks
During the trial apprenticeship (1 or 2 days), you have the opportunity to get to know the daily work of the respective profession together with our trainers and apprentices and you can also carry out some tasks yourself. We want to introduce you to the profession and show you what working in a research environment looks like.

You are a student in the second upper level and have already informed yourself about the chosen profession and ideally attended one of our information afternoons.
In spring 2026, there will also be a career information afternoon. You can register online for the afternoon and get a solid insight into the individual professions.
