University Clinic for Hand and Plastic Surgery University Clinic for Ear, Nose and Throat Diseases, Head and Neck Surgery University Clinic for Skull, Jaw and Facial Surgery University Clinic for Orthopaedic Surgery and Traumatology University Clinic for Acute Geriatrics At our university clinics, people with various diseases and injuries in the mentioned specialist areas are treated. In these exciting fields of work, we offer a 4-week internship in nursing, according to the requirements of the University of Bern, Bachelor of Human Medicine programme.

What to expect

Human medicine students at the University of Bern complete a 4-week nursing internship as a prerequisite for admission to the 2nd year of study. The internship must be completed without interruption at a 100% employment level.

What you bring

You have passed the aptitude test for medical studies in Switzerland (EMS) or are enrolled at the University of Bern (Bachelor in Human Medicine). You are interested in gaining insight into the areas of responsibility of health and nursing care. You demonstrate motivation and initiative to achieve your learning objectives. You are ready to apply newly acquired skills in everyday life and to care for our patients and their relatives with respect and empathy.
