Instrument Nurse or Operating Room Technician (ORT) (M/F/D) – Biel Region 80%

Persag SA is looking, on behalf of one of its partners in the Biel region, for an Instrument Nurse or OR Technician to strengthen a team within a demanding and dynamic operating environment.

Your mission

As part of your role, you actively participate in patient care within the operating theatre.

Your main responsibilities will notably include:

Preparing the operating room and the necessary equipment for the intervention; Checking the availability, sterility and proper functioning of the equipment; Preparing and organising instruments according to the type of intervention; Ensuring instrumentation during surgical procedures; Anticipating the needs of the surgeon and the operating team; Guaranteeing compliance with hygiene, asepsis and safety rules; Participating in patient care and installation in the operating theatre; Collaborating closely with surgeons, anaesthetists and other professionals involved in the intervention; Ensuring traceability and compliance with internal procedures; Participating in tidying, checking and restoring equipment after interventions; Contributing to the smooth running of the operating theatre; Participating in the continuous improvement of quality and safety of care.

Your profile

We are looking for a person ideally possessing:

A diploma as an Operating Room Technician (ORT) or training as a nurse specialised in instrumentation; Professional experience in the operating theatre; Good knowledge of hygiene, asepsis and sterilisation rules; Excellent anticipation and organisational skills; Good knowledge of surgical equipment and instruments; Ability to work effectively in a demanding environment; A good team spirit and professional communication; Rigour, reliability and a strong sense of responsibility; Good adaptability to different interventions and situations.
