Head of Civil Engineering Office / Cantonal Engineer
80% to 100% workload

Your tasks

• Overall responsibility for the technical, personnel, organisational and financial management of the Civil Engineering Office with the departments of Road Construction and Road Inspection
• Development of long-term project and investment planning
• Management and support of demanding infrastructure projects on cantonal and national roads from preliminary study to commissioning
• Ensuring professional and legally compliant procedures for planning, construction and tenders as well as target group-oriented communication with the relevant stakeholders
• Leadership of the Infrastructure service group in the cantonal management team

Requirements

• University or university of applied sciences degree in civil engineering, environmental engineering or a comparable qualification
• Experience in handling complex planning and construction projects
• Proven track record in managing demanding infrastructure projects, ideally in a leadership position
• Strong strategic and solution-oriented working style with negotiation skills and political acumen
• Resilient and convincing personality with conceptual thinking and confident appearance
• Very good written and oral communication skills
