About the job
The Debt Enforcement and Bankruptcy Office is responsible for the execution of debt enforcement and bankruptcies in the canton of Glarus and thus implements the compulsory, state collection of monetary claims in the interest of creditors.
We are looking for a
Deputy Head of Debt Enforcement Office 80–100 %
starting May 1, 2026, or by arrangement, with the workplace in Glarus.
Tasks
- Professional leadership and further training of the employees of the Debt Enforcement Office
- Conducting basic and pledge valuations as well as management of the debt enforcement office properties
- Execution of arrests and retentions
- Responsibility for the debt enforcement software eServe B4
- Inventory recordings and lists of goods
- Organization and execution of movable property auctions
- Enforcement of seizures at the office and at the debtor's residence
Requirements
- Commercial or equivalent education
- Debt enforcement specialist with a federal professional certificate
- Several years of professional experience at a debt enforcement office
- Solid knowledge of the Debt Enforcement and Bankruptcy Act (SchKG) and IT
- Fluency in spoken and written language
- Negotiation skills, assertiveness, and ability to work in a team
- Resilient, open, and honest personality with a high service orientation and social competence
