Company Description
The Office for Food Control and Veterinary Affairs of the Liechtenstein National Administration (www.alkvw.llv.li) is responsible along the food chain from the agricultural raw product to the product on the sales shelf, on the one hand for food safety and on the other hand for animal health and animal welfare. We deal with the topics of drinking water as well as bathing water and have an important role in the prevention of diseases in humans and animals.
Job Description
You feel at home in the following areas of activity:
- Overall management of the office in professional, personnel and organisational terms
- Ensuring compliance with national and international regulations in the food and veterinary sector
- Strategic further development of office processes and services
- Advising the government and other authorities on technical issues
- Representing the office in national and international committees
- Crisis management and communication in areas such as food safety or animal epidemics
- Promoting interdisciplinary cooperation with relevant institutions
Qualifications
You are particularly characterised for this position by:
- Completed university degree (e.g. veterinary medicine, food technology, law or natural sciences, public management, administrative management, etc.)
- Several years of leadership experience, preferably in public administration
- Knowledge of laws and regulations
- Knowledge in agriculture, food production and law, veterinary medicine or related fields
- Strategic thinking skills as well as pronounced decision-making and leadership competence
- High social competence and communication skills
- Business fluent English skills and additional languages are an advantage
