Develop firmware for the products of tomorrow
Would you like to develop hardware-near software, get to know different technologies and contribute your ideas to technical solutions? Then become part of our Embedded Systems team. With us, you work on versatile customer projects – from conception through implementation to commissioning and testing. Together with engineers from various disciplines, you develop firmware for intelligent devices and connected systems. You bring in your experience, expand your knowledge and take on responsibility according to your skills.

Area of activity

We develop electronics and firmware for our customers' products and systems. Our tasks and the technologies used vary depending on the project. This gives you the opportunity to work on products from different industries and to repeatedly deal with new technical issues.

In interdisciplinary project teams, you develop firmware for embedded systems. Depending on the project, you work with microcontrollers or Linux-based systems and deal, for example, with sensors, actuators, communication or networked applications. You bring in your previous experience and further expand your knowledge in new topics.

Your tasks may include:

• Analysing technical requirements and deriving firmware solutions from them
• Designing, implementing, documenting and testing firmware
• Commissioning electronics and firmware as well as systematically analysing errors
• Coordinating with colleagues from electronics, software and other disciplines
• Explaining technical solutions within the project team and to customers

The tasks you take on and the amount of responsibility you carry depend on your experience and the respective project. You work closely with your team and can also coordinate or lead overall or partial projects over time.

Requirements

You have completed an engineering degree in electrical engineering, computer science or a related field and have experience in the development of embedded firmware.
This may come from study projects, internships or several years of professional practice.

Particularly important to us are:

• Enjoyment of hardware-near programming and a good understanding of the interaction between software and electronics
• Experience with C or C++ in embedded applications
• A structured way of working and the ability to solve technical problems comprehensibly
• Interest in learning new technologies and application areas depending on the customer project
• Enjoyment of working with colleagues from various disciplines as well as with customers
• Good German and English skills, both spoken and written

Experience with firmware architecture, other programming languages, software engineering methods or product-specific standards is welcome. We do not expect you to cover all these topics yet. What matters are your technical fundamentals, your previous development experience and your willingness to engage with new tasks.
