Animal Shelter Manager (80–100%)

About the job

We are looking for a warm, assertive and professionally skilled individual who will take on the operational management of our animal shelter with passion and professionalism. If you have a heart for animals, you are exactly right with us.

Your tasks

• You are responsible for the entire animal shelter operation and ensure appropriate care for our wards.
• Leadership, motivation and deployment planning of the animal care team as well as coordination of volunteer helpers.
• Organisation of admissions, placements and initial medical care in cooperation with veterinarians.
• Compliance with animal protection legislation and optimisation of internal processes.

Your profile

• Completed training as an animal caretaker EFZ
• Several years of professional experience in animal care as well as leadership experience
• High resilience, communication skills and a confident approach to people and animals in difficult situations.
• Willingness to work weekends and on-call duties.
