The Cantonal Tax Office is responsible for enforcing the provisions of federal, cantonal, and municipal taxes.
The Legal Department drafts decrees and instructions, answers internal and external inquiries, accompanies legal remedy procedures, and conducts tax offense, audit, and tax exemption procedures.
We are looking for you as of June 1, 2026, or by arrangement as
Clerk Legal Department Tax Offenses (m/f/d)
Workload: 50-60%
Workplace: St. Gallen
What to expect
- You identify taxes that have not been or insufficiently assessed
- You independently handle tax offense procedures in cases of attempted and completed
tax evasion – from initiation to written penalty order
- You conduct written and oral negotiations with taxable persons or their representatives
What distinguishes you
- You have a solid commercial education, supplemented by function-specific further training
- You have practical experience, ideally in the tax or criminal law area
- You work precisely and independently, are responsible and confident in negotiations
- You enjoy personal contact with people and like making decisions
