The Cantonal Social Office (KSA) carries out various, steering and operational tasks in social assistance, social insurance, social institutions, and in the asylum sector.
The Coordination Office for Disability Rights at the KSA supports professionals from the cantonal administration as well as municipalities in the Canton of Zurich with expert questions regarding disability rights, particularly in relation to the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. Additionally, it coordinates the implementation of the cantonal action plan for disability rights. The position
- You will engage with issues concerning the rights of persons with disabilities
- You will work on projects, e.g., action days for disability rights, support offers for municipalities, action plan for disability rights
- You will conduct research on current topics
- You will participate in the preparation of reports, statements, and concepts
- You will contribute to the development and implementation of information and awareness campaigns or in communication work
- You will support the team with general administrative tasks, e.g., organizing events, ensuring accessibility of documents
Your profile
- You are a student in a Bachelor's program in Social Work and must complete a mandatory internship as part of your studies
- You are interested in issues of equality for persons with disabilities and would like to gain insight into the work of the Canton of Zurich in the area of disability rights
- You have completed initial training or a degree and have at least three years of professional experience
- You possess strong communication skills, are proficient in the use of MS Office applications, and have very good written competencies
- You are a service-oriented, resilient, and flexible person with a quick grasp, networked thinking ability, and a structured working style
