For our Private Clients Business Risk Management Team in the "Risk Management & Governance" department, we are looking for a First Line Controls Specialist to start immediately. The position offers an exciting opportunity within our control framework to deepen existing wealth management experience in the risk management areas of KYC/AML, fraud prevention, and investor protection.

Your challenge:

Taking responsibility for planning and conducting controls and reviews within the Private Clients client segment

Communicating control results to representatives of the front organisation

Ensuring effective and recipient-appropriate reporting activities to Private Clients management

Conducting control assessments as part of the Risk and Control Self Assessment process and supporting process and risk evaluations

Contributing to ensuring and further developing effective control governance for Vontobel’s international activities in the Private Clients area

Coordinating and working closely with internal and external stakeholders, such as Private Clients Front, Compliance, Non-Financial Risk, and Audit

Supporting the Risk Management & Governance leadership and working closely with the front organisation as a specialist unit for the execution of First Line Controls

Your qualifications:

Completed university or university of applied sciences degree or equivalent banking-related education and training

Professional experience in business risk management/controls in the banking sector, preferably from a wealth management environment

Good knowledge of a bank’s (front) core processes as well as regulatory issues such as VSB, GwG, Cross-Border, MiFID II, FIDLEG, etc.

Specific expertise regarding operational risks and the execution, testing, and documentation of controls

Proactive, committed, and flexible person with confident demeanour, excellent communication skills, and a healthy assertiveness

Excellent knowledge of German and English (spoken and written)
