Management
You are responsible for human resources, finance and operations, and ensure the development of the organisation. In close cooperation with the executive management, you implement the strategy and ensure a balance between mission, impact and economic viability. Through clear decisions and open dialogue, you set the course, establish trust and promote an organisational culture based on respect. You work closely with the statutory bodies and ensure the preparation and follow-up of their work. You also represent Caritas Switzerland to the authorities, political leaders, partner organisations, donors, the general public and the media, while developing and strengthening its national and international networks.
To perform this multifaceted role, you hold a master’s degree or an equivalent qualification, complemented, depending on your area of expertise, by advanced training in business management and/or non-profit organisation management. You have led organisations of comparable size and complexity at various hierarchical levels and have successfully managed change processes. You possess strong management skills, demonstrate an entrepreneurial spirit and know how to drive innovation. You can mobilise teams around common goals and approach demanding challenges with pragmatism and solution-oriented thinking. You identify with the values and mission of Caritas Switzerland and express yourself fluently in German, French and English. You are present three days a week at the main office in Lucerne, regularly visit other sites in Switzerland and are available for about two trips abroad as well as several international meetings per year.
Would you like to actively contribute to shaping the future of one of Switzerland’s leading non-profit organisations? If so, we would be delighted to receive your application.
