Is this helpful?
The German Railway is not only one of the most important mobility service providers but also one of the largest engineering firms in Germany. To realize and sustainably maintain new bridges, tunnels, train stations, tracks, and signal systems, more than 10,000 engineers are currently working with us – far from enough. As an engineer at the German Railway, you can plan, manage, or supervise something that remains: the infrastructure for future generations.
Responsibilities
We are looking for you as an Electrical Engineer for the qualification as District Manager in Control and Safety Technology (m/f/d) for DB InfraGO AG at the location in Basel as soon as possible.
Your tasks:
As a District Manager, you are responsible for the maintenance in the area of control and safety technology in your regional care area and ensure safe, punctual, and economical rail traffic.
Based on your inspection, you will commission necessary repair measures and take over the professional guidance of the employees who carry out the maintenance on these systems – the secondary construction supervision also falls within your area of responsibility.
We qualify you as a District Manager in Control and Safety Technology, after which you will take over the professional and disciplinary leadership of the employees in the assigned district.
You will spend about 50% of your time in the office and 50% outside in the district, where you will take over the safety supervision and safety planning.
As a specialist in the fascinating railway system, you will conduct system inspections, evaluate and document their results, and derive follow-up measures if necessary.
Qualifications
Your profile:
Your foundation is a successfully completed degree in electrical engineering or engineering in the field of communications technology / automation technology.
Ideally, you have the functional training to become a District Manager or are willing to acquire this as part of our qualification, so that you can grow into the responsible tasks with support.
In addition, you are good at communicating your point of view without losing sight of the needs of others.
You are committed to team success – you can define goals and work organized and independently to achieve them.
You hold a Class B driver's license and are fit to work in the track area (to be verified by an occupational physician) and are willing to work nights and weekends if necessary.
Proficiency in common IT applications and the willingness to familiarize yourself with SAP R/3 Network round off your profile.
