- Swiss citizenship or residence permit (the C permit must be submitted with the application)
- Minimum age of 20 years
- Completed vocational training with a federal qualification certificate, gymnasium maturity, specialized maturity, or equivalent qualifications
- Impeccable conduct
- High personal and social competence, commitment to the citizens
- Category B driving license
- Knowledge of computer applications (Microsoft Office)
- Good mental and physical health
- Ability to handle stress
- Successfully passed qualification test (www.werdepolizist.ch)
