Senior Foreign Trade Specialist with Team Leadership 80-100% (m/f/d)

Responsibilities:

• Leading the establishment and further development of the export department with team leadership responsibilities
• Responsibility for the entire import and export processing including coordination of freight forwarders
• Ensuring timely, cost-effective, and customs-compliant transport handling worldwide
• Responsibility for export documentation and ensuring legally compliant export and customs processes
• Handling letters of credit and obtaining necessary permits in cooperation with banks and authorities
• Organising customised packaging and transport solutions for new plants and spare parts
• Continuous development and optimisation of export processes as well as ensuring compliance requirements
• Support with commercial, administrative, and organisational tasks

Profile:

• Commercial basic training with further education as a foreign trade specialist with a federal diploma or comparable further education
• Many years of experience in import, export, and customs processing of capital goods
• Understanding of plant and mechanical engineering is an advantage
• Goal-oriented, independent, flexible, and resilient even in hectic times
• Enjoys communication with customers, suppliers, authorities, and internal contacts
• Customer- and team-oriented thinking and acting
• IT-savvy and interested in efficient and innovative working methods
• Very good German and English skills in spoken and written form, additional languages are an advantage
