The Cantonal Administration of Schaffhausen provides services in a wide range of areas for the public, businesses and private individuals. The Social Welfare Office of the Canton of Schaffhausen fulfils overarching tasks in the areas of social assistance, victim support and advance maintenance payments. It is responsible for the approval, financing and supervision of institutions for adults with disabilities as well as for residential child and youth services. In addition, it manages the specialist office for equality, violence prevention and protection against violence. Furthermore, the office carries out tasks in the asylum and refugee sector on behalf of the federal government.
The Asylum and Refugee Care Department bears the main responsibility for the accommodation, care, support, employment and integration of persons residing in the Canton of Schaffhausen from the asylum and refugee sector.
We are looking for a motivated person to provide legal support to our department immediately or by arrangement

What to expect- Advice and support for the Head of Asylum and Refugee Care and the department management on legal questions and clarifications within the scope of activities
- Advice and support for the heads of specialist offices in issuing directives and orders
- Preparation of statements in response to political motions and consultations
- Collaboration in the preparation of regulations, guidelines and concepts
- Drafting correspondence and administrative tasks
What you bring
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in law
- Experience in administrative law as well as in the asylum and refugee sector is an advantage
- Enjoyment in handling diverse legal issues
- Very independent, efficient and careful working style
- Confident oral and written expression in the German language
- High social competence and ability to work in a team
- Interest in politics
